D2R 2.4 The Ancients Kill Guide - How To Kill The Three Ancients Fast and Easily In Diablo II Resurrected?

Occasionally people can struggle to kill the ancients, especially when you get to Hell, they can be powerful and have all these different immunities. So in this post sorted from Sweet Phil's Videp, we are compiling all of the best tips and tricks that we are aware of in order to kill your ancients.

Tip 1 - Pop A Portal Before Go To Arreat Summit

The first tip is going to be mega basic but if you didn't know this, you can actually pop a portal before you go up to the Arreat Summit:

Once you head on up there, if you do hypothetically die, you'll end up right back there in town.
Then what you can do is actually come back down here and pop another portal and then head right back up and continue the fight

So if you had killed one or two of them already, you don't have to fully reset and fight those ancients all over again.

Tip 2 - Reroll The Ancients To Get Only One Ancient Do Immune At A Time

Once you are up here if you don't end up doing it that way if you actually get up here and you pop the ancients open and let's say like this one of them is immune to fire, because usually there's going to be immune (everything is going to be immune to at least one of the things you are), but if you are fire or if you're lightning or whatever you are, you don't want all of them to be immune to you.

So if two of them or even sometimes three of them are immune to whatever your element is if you're a sorceress or if there's a couple that ends up immune to physical or something like that:

You can go ahead and just pop a portal up here, and they will go away now
Then what you can do is come over here and click the book again they'll respawn
Then go ahead and re-roll the ancients and you can literally keep re-rolling them until you only get only one of them is immune to fire instead of two, making that fight a lot easier for a fire sorc.

Tip 3 - Separate The Ancients & Kill Then One By One

Make sure you can try to separate only one of them if multiple of them are coming over to fight you, you can teleport over to the other side and then you will only fight one at a time, that way especially if there's one that your mercenary has to take out for you, you can let him go ahead and fight that ancients one-on-one.

But anyways your mercenary can fight him one-on-one, so he isn't going to get taken out by all of the other ancients while he's doing that fight. So even if you're not a sorceress, get yourself a teleport staff in order to lure one of them away from the other pack, so you don't necessarily have to be a sorceress.

Tip 4 - Have a Mercenary To Help You Kill Ancients

Make sure you have an all-right mercenary if you're going to end up having Diablo 2 items that is immune to you. If you have a pretty good mercenary even just as good as this a random Insight not even an ethereal base, Treachery, Tal's mask, that is a pretty solid budget mercenary, and he can actually take that ancient out slowly all by himself.

Tip 5 - Drop All Your Potions On the Ground & Pick Them Up To Fill Up Your Heath/Mana

This tip can really help you if you're trying to do this solo and actually what you can do is throw a ton of potions on the ground:

Now if you have all your options on the ground and you're out of all of your health potions and out of all of your mana potions when fighting the ancients (maybe you use all these potions)
Instead of having to go to open your inventory and trying to get them into your belt while you're getting attacked, you can actually just come over to the spots you drop off your potions and click super fast, then you will be filled up your entire belt just in a matter of seconds.

But keep that in mind: The potions on the ground will not last forever and will poof after a while (5-8 minutes), but you can definitely put those potions on the ground you can go ahead and use your potions but they're all out, and then go ahead restock on your potions again.
