Serie A License
According to Calcio E Finanza, EA Sports and Serie A have signed and agreement that will make FIFA 22 the official video game partner of the League. In FIFA 21, we will find EA added the official anthem of Serie A to the game, and also added the licensed Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana with real trophies. They also added the real names of the coaches of most of the clubs, besides the real faces of Antoni Conts and Claudio Panieri.
UEFA Europa Conference League
The new European competition UEFA Europa Conference League “UECL” will be presented in FIFA 22, according to the partnership between EA and UEFA. UEFA Europa Conference League will be presented in FIFA 22 with an authentic broadcast package, the same other UEFA competitions. The new European competition is a great option for career mode players, who want to dominate Europe from the bottom to the top. You could win competitions, UEFA Europa Conference League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Champions League, with UEFA Super Cup as well.
Note: The winner of the 2021-22 UEFA Europa Conference League will automatically qualify for the 2022-23 UEFA Europa League Group Stage.
FIFA 22 New Stadiums
- Gazprom Arena: The partnership between EA Sports and UEFA is allowing EA to add the stadium of the UEFA Champions League Final to the game. So Gazprom Arena is confirmed to appear in FIFA 22, as the stadium will host the 2022 UEFA Champions League final. Gazprom Arena is the home ground of the Russian giant club Zenit Saint Petersburg. The stadium was opened in 2017 and hosted 7 matches at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Note: The stadium was scanned and presented in FIFA 18 as part of Russia’s World Cup DLC. So EA could use the same scan and updating it.
- FC Porto' Estádio do Dragão: Another stadium that is about to be presented in FIFA 22 is Estádio do Dragão, the home ground of Portugal’s Dragoes’ FC Porto. The partnership between EA Sports and FC Porto is allowing EA to add the stadium in FIFA 22 as part of the club’s package in the game.
Note: Estádio do Dragão is planned to host the 2021 UEFA Champions League Final instead of the amazing Turkish stadium Ataturk Olimpiyat Stadi.
- Allianz Arena: Allianz Arena will host the 2023 UEFA Champions League Final. So we will have Allianz Arena again but in FIFA 23.
Regarding the stadium of the UEFA Europa League Final: UEFA partnership with EA is not bound of adding the stadium to the game. But we already have Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, the home ground of Sevilla FC in the game, which will host the 2022 UEFA Europa League Final. So you could play the 2022 UEFA Europa League Final in a licensed stadium in FIFA 22, the same as UEFA Champions League.
New Clubs
- We don’t have any information about new UEFA Champions League Clubs, but we may have a big chance to get back Zenit Saint Petersburg in the game.
- Another qualified club to UEFA Champions League is Omonia Nicosia from Cyprus. They are a good option but there is no news about them. Ludogorets Razgrad is also promoted to UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds. They are a great club in Bulgaria. They are now confirmed to be in the game as well.
- Another promoted club to the qualifying rounds is Ferncvaros from Hungary. Their goalkeepers is Adam Bogdan, was scanned in FIFA 19.
Slovan Bratislava is also promoted to UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds. They are not also confirmed to be in the game but there is a big chance.
- One of the clubs that we don’t know why EA didn’t add them till now is Apoel FC from Cyprus. They are competing in the Esports World since two years.
FIFA 22 Face Scans
The face package of Leeds United players is postponed and moved to FIFA 22 instead of FIFA 21 because of the pandemic. So we will see new scanned faces for most of Leeds players in FIFA 22 including Raphinha, Kalvin Phillips, Luke Ayling, Illan Meslier and others. Some new faces for other Premier League players are could appear in FIFA 22 including Mason Greenwood, Edouard Mendy, Reece James, and others. The real faces of Arsenal players Martin Ødegaard and Wolves players Nelson Semfdo are now available in FIFA online 4. So we are about to see them in FIFA 22.
Real Managers
Daniel Farke will be added to FIFA 22 after his leading Norwich city to promote to the Premier League. Sam Allardyce will be removed from the game if he stayed at West Brom, as EA has not the rights of EFL Championship managers.
Note: Thomas Tuchel and Marcelo Bielsa will mostly appear in FIFA 22.
FIFA 22 New Icons
7 legends of football have been 'leaked' ahead of FIFA 22. It is rumored that these players will be returning to the game as Icon players in Ultimate Team. Former Barcelona and Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure is arguably the most exciting name in the mix, but any of these seven would be great additions. England duo John Terry and Paul Gascoigne are included in the leak, along with former Liverpool maestro Xabi Alonso. Diego Forlan, Robbie Keane, and iconic goggle-wearing Dutch star Edgar Davids complete the seven and we would love it if this proves to be true.
