In Diablo 2 Resurrected, there are small charms, large charms, and grand charms. What D2R charms are worth keeping and what the use cases of them can really be? We're going through all of D2R Charms here to give you some guidance on what charms you want to be looking for and what can be very useful in Diablo 2 Resurrected.
Most Sought-After Charms - Skiller Grand Charms
Skiller Grand Charms are always going to be highly desired, anything with the skillers that are the main skill usages are going to have value. So for instance, Poison and Bone are going to have value on a necromancer, but something like plastic curses is going to have a lot less value, because of how many people are running a curse necro.
It's the same with defensive auras on a Paladin, you're not running a character that's the main stuff, you might use a curse in your build but your main build is going to be using the Poison Nova or it's going to be a summoner or something like that.
Something we should also note with charms is just how affixes work, so for the blue Diablo 2 Resurrected items you can have a prefix and a suffix, it's not guaranteed that you have both. But regardless you've got your prefix and suffix, you can have either and you can have both of them, when you get those nice combinations that's where you really get the magic stuff.

Good Luck (Level 47): Adding 6-7% better chance of finding magical items
Vita (Level 47, 74, 91): Giving you +16-20 (small charms), +31-35 (large charms), +41-45 (grand charms) life boost based on charm size
Best D2R Grand Charms
For grand charms, the main thing is you are looking for that plus two skills with life, other things that you can get in that top is max damage and attack rating, and then you can get plus two max damage again down in the suffix, so that's where people can get these really big like 14 max damage. So here are the best grand charms for different classes:
Skillers are always good, but depending on what it’s for (like paladin combat GCs) some will be more expensive
For some sort of melee character that wants to really just have high max damage and then some attack fighting with it, you will see that as well as as an option for the grand charms.
Any skiller with high/max rolls to life, FHR, and STR/DEX are usually the best.
Most Desired Stats of Prefixes and Suffixes For Grand Charms
- For your prefixes, you can get all of these stats plus to sorceress necro, combat skills, in this case, it's plus P and B.
- For your suffixes, you're going to have a variety of things and the ones that you could find useful could be plus hit recovery (12 faster rate recovery), 5 to 6 strength or dexterity, plus the gold finding, faster-run walk, and then plus to life, and these are really going to be the main ones that you'll see.
Most Desired Stats for Grand Charm | |||
Level | Name | Effect | Suffix or Prefix |
35 | Shimmering | +13-15% resist all | Prefix |
50 | Many | +1 to a Skill | Prefix |
Best D2R Large Charms
Going into the large charms, this is where a lot of stuff unfortunately just falls flat, and the big reason for this is large charms just don't do anything best with the exception of plus to strength and dexterity. You can get plus 4-5 strength and plus 4-5 dexterity on a large charm which you could get five to six on a grand charm, you get more value from the stats there, but unfortunately, a lot of people just don't care about strength and dexterity. At the same time, you have to realize that anytime you have a large charm in your inventory, it's blocking a skiller and this is the biggest issue with them. So large charms are less sought after since they’re less than 2 SCs with max rolls and take up the same amount of inv space.
What you can still get value out from these large charms though is you can still get the attack rating and max damage, so it's 21 to 48 attack rating and 4 to 6 max and then you can get another plus 2 to max damage down there or plus 31 to 35 life for the suffix, so the prefix suffix can still work out. So you can still get large charms with damage and attack rating, and you can get just some resistances on them and plus to life and hit recovery, they're good in kind of the in-between, but overall they are usually not end game items to pick up.
Best D2R Small Charms
Small charms are where you run into a variety of things. First off, you can get a 5+ faster hit recovery and 8 fire res or something like that. The big thing about small charms is they're so useful to just fill in the gaps. Obviously, you have your amazing ones like 20 to life, 5 to all resistances or you've got your 3 max damage, 20 attack rating, 20 to life, that's all super amazing. But on top of it, they're just great for like we said filling in those other spots. Because generally you're going to be doing skillers up but not getting a lot of resist resistances, so there are the small charms for each class want to have:
- Overall best small charm rolls: 20 life, 20/3 (20 ar, 3 max damage), 7MF, 5 all res or 5FHR, 11 single res, 175 poison damage, 36 ar and str/dex;
- Some characters also chose to have a single charm with a high poison damage roll as it prevents most monsters from healing;
- If you're weak on fire res, you can pick up some fire res small charms;
- If you're wanting more life, you can get some 20 life small charms;
- If you want some more magic find, pick up the magic find ones;
- If you want light recs, here are some more resistances
Most Desired Stats of Prefix and Suffix For Small Charms
You get a bunch of these small charms here and there, and they actually start to add up with affixes. For prefixes, you need to get attack rating max damage, plus to resistances, whether it's all res or it's the cold firelight, plus to mana, and poisoned small charms. For the suffixes, you can get the plus to gold, plus the strength and dex aren't like horrible, 3 faster run walk, 5% faster hit recovery, plus magic finding and plus life.

47 | Shimmering | +3-5% resist all | Prefix |
51 | Vita | +16-20 | Suffix |
61 | Good Luck | +6-7% magic find | Suffix |
