Diablo 4 DPS Tier List & Ranking - Best DPS Classes & Builds in D4
One character might not be the best choice in terms of all aspects, but if you are going for the highest damage to kill bosses in the fastest way, the following class tier list by I Lap The Flash is aimed to rank Diablo 4 best DPS classes and build types, also considering the fun factor for playing the class in the game. The final damage output is also depending on your D4 gear and skills.
- S Tier: Sorcerer/Sorceress, Necromancer (Corpse/Summon Build)
Starting off with the best DPS classes in Diablo IV, any of the top builds for the Sorcerer will come in at S-tier damage and only the Corpse/Summon Necro build also comes in at S-class. It is amazing in terms of how fast Sorceress could delete enemies, but not a lot of mobility, it's more waiting for your mana to get back up spam spells.
- A Tier: Rogue
Any of the top builds for the Rogue besides a straight evasion trap build would be A-tier for DPS. In addition, the Rogue class has very good mobility skills and it also puts out very good damage, so while it does slightly less DPS for the most part besides the Sorcerer and Necromancer, it definitely has the most amount of mobility, which also gives it very high survivability for skilled players and it's very good for PvP with the stun. It is considered the most fun class to play in the upcoming Diablo IV.
- B Tier: Necromancer (Tank)
For the B tier, we have the Necro tank but that is also relying that you put at least one of your skills as Corpse Explosion, so even though you are tanky, you can still do a lot of damage with the corpse explosion. With the Necro tank, you still get the skeleton army, which is kind of cool and you get a little bit of DPS, it's still fun to play, but at the bottom of the list compared to other characters if considering the fun.
- C Tier: Barbarian (Non-tank), Druid (Non-tank)
Moving on to C tier, we have the Barb non-tank and Druid non-tank, they just have too many perks and skills for being tanky and resistant, don't put out enough damage, and there's just really no way even the non-tank versions to get them even up to the point of being able to do close as much damage as the Necro tank can do, but they do come in just slightly under the Necro tank. The Barb and Druid non-tank build is a lot of fun to play, especially for players that are skilled and can evade most of the attacks.
- D Tier: Barbarian/Druid (Tank)
Finally, the D-tier DPS class includes the Barb and Druid tank versions. For Druid, you're kind of always changing in and out of being a Werewolf or a Werebear depending on how you build it, and you also get companions potentially, the Druid might end up being a little bit more fun.
Overall, if you want to start with the best DPS class that is also fun to play in the Diablo 4 launch, Necromancer is probably the first choice to go with, especially with proper builds, it is a little bit more consistent with deleting mobs, it can delete mobs faster than the sorcerer can, it also has much better survivability and Necro can pull aggro with its army which gives it a higher sense of survivability.
