In this guide, we are going to quickly run through 5 builds that are absolutely solid in terms of they will get you through to the end of the game and they will then get you safely into maps without massive amounts of POE Currency being spent, and you should then be able to progress through the maps all the way through till you get to tier 16 maps. Now let’s take a look at the top 5 strong starter builds to get to maps quickly in Path of Exile Affliction League!
NO. 1 - EA Champion Mapping Build
With the fact of how strong this build has been over the last couple of leagues, we don't believe that that will change, it's still relatively strong, it's still relatively cheap and you can relatively get to maps and complete all content with this build. So all based on the actual build itself, so if you don't like the downside, the only downside to the build is the play style. The fact that you have to put the ballista down, you have to wait for the ballista to then fire a projectile into the actual boss or whoever it may be and then you then have to wait for that to then explode. But in terms of relativity and in terms of the actual build itself, this is going to be super strong in this League as it has been.

No. 2 - Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build for Mapping
The play style is very similar to EA Champion and the fact that there is a delayed play style with a delayed poison and obviously with the chaos damage. But it is still a very strong build, quite a few people that will be starting with this build and they have started with this build nearly every single League.
Toxic Rain fires a number of arrows that create "Pods" on the ground. These pods explode when they expire, dealing on-hit damage. However, while they are on the ground, they also deal Damage over Time (DoT), which is what this build focuses on scaling. The build aims to stack as many pods as possible to maximize damage, utilizing duration, area of effect, and attack speed. It is worth noting that this build does not require an expensive +3 bow and can use a Quill Rain from start to finish.

NO. 3 - Boneshatter Juggernaut Build
This build is very strong, it can get relatively quick, and obviously a few people that have then transition from this build into then an armor stacking jug capping nearly over a million armor. So it's the case of if you want to go down that route, then this is the best foothold to go from with a Boneshatter Juggernaut. The damage can get up into the absolute millionsn just depends on how much money you want to throw into the build.

NO. 4 - SRS Guardian Starter Build
With this build, it has go grown in popularity over the last League and even at the back end of the most recent League, the Trial of the Ancestors. But it has been quite around about two leagues now is very popular, it's probably one of the easiest builds in terms of content you can scream through maps and scream through the axe just because of how easy it is. And it is quite tanky as well with the fact that the guardian can pick up a ton of armor. So if you stack that, then it's a case of that you will very rarely die, so you won't lose any XP so you will then be able to level this build very quickly. And due to the new ascendancy that comes with the guardian, that does help as well. So this is going to be a good solid build and should take you all the way through to maps and all the way through to Pinnacle bosses.
