How to Make the Best Build in D2R Patch 2.5 and Season 2 Ladder
Diablo 2 Resurrected Patch 2.5 is going to introduce a lot of cool items, which brings the possibility of a huge variety of new builds.
What to consider when you are making builds in D2R 2.5 and Season 2 with these new D2 Ladder items? In terms of the sundering charms, the magic sunder is going to be the worst of all by far, the reason is that, unlike poison, physical, lightning, fire, and cold, there is no form of negative enemy magic resistance in the game. So setting the monster’s resistance to 95% does not necessarily do anything because you're essentially causing the monster to be 95 resistant to your attack, which still effectively means that they're relatively unkillable unless you have an insanely high level of damage. On top of that, not only does it really not offer any huge bonuses for those characters, but it also has probably the worst negative out of all of the charms, while other types of resistance can all be countered using a myriad of items effects and skills, there is no effective way to counter negative magic resistance, so it is in a class by itself and having negative 50 magic resistance can effectively murder you. The only thing that it could potentially allow you to do is kill the magic immunes that are inside of Uber Tristram. These charms provide a very interesting way that you can build characters that you might not necessarily ever wanted or could build before.
There are multiple ways for players to use multiple charms on builds, maybe you're a dual-spec sorceress, maybe you're a fire slash cold sorceress, for example, if you had a corpse explosion, you can use both Bone Break charm for the physical sundering and Flame Rift charm for the fire, the same thing for an elemental druid. But the level requirement on these is level 75, this indicates that you wouldn't necessarily be able to build your character directly with these, you're still going to have to level up your character the normal way up to the point where you get your hands on one of these, and once can access one of these, then you can maybe respect into a more singular build.
One thing you should know is that these charms only set the monster's resistance to 95, they don't necessarily fix your problem, you still have to obtain other pieces of Diablo 2 items with negative enemy resistance, and in combination with those other items like Flickering Flame, you will obtain the effect that you're looking for, but they don't work in PVP.
