The Paladin class is often chosen for the Diablo 2 ladder start because it is considered to be a strong all-around class with a variety of viable decks, including Holy Wrath Paladin and Libram Paladin. It also has access to powerful board clears, healing, and buffing spells which can help control the board and survive against aggressive decks commonly seen on the ladder. Max out holy fire at level 41. The reason we wanted to do this was to free up an armor slot so you can wear dragon armor and have enigma with infinite teleport pretty much. You can swap out gear with other things now and wear phoenix for a lot of fire pierce. Max out the holy fire, so, in this case, it adds 57% fire damage to attack and to fire aura damage of 802 to 1922, so it's not very impressive. Max out resist fire as well as salvation to cap out the synergies for that skill. Then we put one point into sacrifice and zeal.
