In Diablo 2 Resurrected, most of the people’s initial impression was that Lawbringer would just simply be better coupled with grief if we're going to compare one of these two D2R items with grief. The other one is an Azurewrath because this does not have decrepify like what Lawbringer has and Lawbringer is a great item granted when you're Whirlwind, you can't proc the decrepit anyway. Now, we are checking the weapons, stats, and tips to make the D2R best Ladder 2.5 Barbarian Whirlwind build. But there are a few other mods that just make it very notable. One of which is the sanctuary aura which does a massive amount of damage to the undead, to the enemies that have the aura applied to them, or the effect of the aura applied to them anyway. If they're in this vicinity and if they're undead, they're going to take extra damage and perhaps even better in many examples. If they're immune to physical say the undead, the sanctuary aura will break their physical immunity and they'll just take a ton of damage from you. So it's a great Diablo 2 item.

Basically in D2R enemies and hell especially are highly resistant to all the elements. But the one that they're not highly resistant to is magic damage. You will find some of course that is immune to magic damage but they're quite rare and the 250 to 500 cold damage. They have good minimum damage too, so it's not to be underlooked.

This best Diablo 2 Barbarian Whirlwind 2.5 build has a High Lords, an Arreat’s Face, a Fortitude, and if we want some mana leech, so we got it from the Manald Heal. Put a shael rune on Azurewrath, for some extra ias. Laying of Hands for ias, and damage to demons. A string of Ears and another Raven Frost, so they cannot be frozen is kind of redundant. Make a Grief with Eth, Tir, Lo, Mal and Ral which is probably the most desirable item on this D2R Ladder 2 Whirlwind Bard build.

Grief is the best one-handed melee weapon in the Diablo 2 Resurrected. In the recent changes for D2R, it's the best for Whirlwind. The two-handed weapon Whirlwind thing really has received the shaft up the DPS unfortunately. Because you're just hitting twice as frequently with two with a weapon in each hand and there are some other factors involved with their recent changes. A weapon in each hand pretty much dominates when it comes to Whirlwind. So obviously you're going to want to have at least grief in one hand if you're looking for DPS optimization.

Max out sword mastery or blade mastery. Max out Whirlwind which doesn't have any synergies and just the basic stuff. Put one point into berserk and then max out battle orders. This is going to be probably the highest the most efficient killer. It just destroys enemies fast and easily.

Elden Ring Whirlwind Build Tips

In Travincal, there's no one dead, obviously, the council is all demons. So it's not an optimal place for this Diablo 2 Whirlwind Barb build. But it's going to be fine. Half the demons in the game roughly are undead, so having that sanctuary aura is a pretty big deal. With this guy, you can have like a pride might act 2 mercenary. You are going to benefit greatly in a higher player count using this Azurewrath, because it's just going to be so compact that damage is emitting to the undead.

In the Chaos Sanctuary, these guys are not undead, not demons and this build can kill them fast. Not benefiting from Laying of Hands demon damage against them, not benefiting from the Sanctuary. This D2R Whirlwind build is going to be quite defensive as well in the Chaos Sanctuary because as a Whirlwind Barbarian you can quite easily get bombarded by the doom knights. It's not going to push back the pit lords but it's going to push back half of them thugs that are attacking you all. Maybe one of the lacking things in this setup is that these phase blades depend on where you look.

They have a quite minimal range added to them. If you could get your little paws on an Azurewrath just find a rune or some and trade forks as nobody uses it anyway. Unfortunately, it's going to have to be a sword or a dagger for that matter. If you were to couple that with a head striker, you'd probably do quite well even without something like fortitude.
