When you are coming into Diablo IV at an early stage, the difficulty will have an impact on the experience. To better play the game and power up faster, we’ve got a Diablo 4 launch starting tier list, and ranking goes all the way from best (easiest) class and worst (hardest) class to start the game.
Diablo 4 Launch Starting Tier List & Ranking - Best and Easiest Class to Start D4
Here is a Diablo 4 launch tier list ranking the best and worst starting classes, on this tier list by Demone Kim, Necromancer, Rogue, and Sorcerer are considered the easiest D4 classes to play, for a little bit higher difficulty, Druid is the choice and Barbarian, which at the bottom line, are now ranked in D tier for the beginning, but it will go up when you toward the endgame.
1. Necromancer - S Tier
When you are picking the easiest class to start Diablo IV at the official release, Necromancer is the first choice to go with. This is a complete class, the blood tree can heal almost everything, especially if you're pairing with minions, you typically never have to worry about dying. Necro is one of the easiest class and best starting classes to use in the first couple of days in D4, and as you move through the game later, this tier list definitely could change depending on what your focus is.
2. Rogue - S Tier
Rogue is also a good class for D4 beginners and can be ranked in the S tier, it might be the hardest class to kill, you have so many mobility options that if you have no clue and you're coming into Diablo 4 blind, and you don't really know if you're going to be able to stay alive or not, the Rogue gives you so many options, you have a lot of flexibility whether you're going to play melee or range or somewhere mix between. It's one of the best starter classes to use in the game because of the ease of use and variety of the builds.
3. Sorcerer - S Tier
The Sorcerer or Sorceress is also an S-tier beginner class, there are so many ways to play this class, you have a lot of Sorc build options, such as Lightning Sorceress, Frost Sorc, Fire Sorc, etc., and some of them are best leveling builds. Sorcerer is a fundamentally strong class with multiple damage, defensive, and utility options. Overall, Sorc is another class to play for a starter class selection.
4. Druid - A Tier
The Druid could be in the A or B tier as the starter class based on the type of character you want to build. If you tend to make a melee build in Diablo 4, the Druid is more like a B-tier class as melee classes are a little bit more difficult to play in the beginning. But as you start to power up the Druid and get a level 15, get your class specialization, things will become a lot easier, especially if you running a trample build or focusing more on the Werebear or Werewolf. And if you're rocking with companions and or a casting build, this makes it a lot easier to use this class at the start, so it can be moved up to an A tier.
5. Barbarian - D Tier
The Barbarian class is going to be put in the D tier or C tier, this not means Barb is a bad class, the reason why it is ranked in the lowest tier is that as a pure melee essentialist and pretty much kind of a lack of AOE unless you want to be forced to go Whirlwind or forced to go Upheaval, you're going to be pretty slow in comparison to other classes when you're coming into the start of Diablo IV. The more time you put into this character, the more powerful you're going to be, some Barb builds are incredibly strong in the game. Why most people don't make barbs? The answer is that it's boring in the beginning. If you're playing hardcore with the Barbarian, it's a lot easier for you to die. It's going to be quite a bit more difficult to navigate with this class and a lot harder to maneuver in the beginning. So Barbarian is probably the worst option when you are looking for the best starting class.
