Many returning Diablo 2 Resurrected players believe that the sorceress is the go-to build after the PTR. However, a D2R 2.4 assassin build will be the one that you are running the first thing in the game. In this new Diablo 2 Resurrected Patch 2.4 build guide, we show you a powerful melee/ranged hybrid assassin, in-depth attributes, skill point distributions, gears, and more tips.
New D2R 2.4 Assassin Build - Powerful Melee/Ranged Hybrid Assassin In Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.4 PTR
Thanks to YouTuber Dwarflord, we have a new Diablo 2 Resurrected Patch 2.4 build. This is a melee-ranged hybrid that uses dragon tail and blade fury. Basically dragon and shurikens hence the name dragonken. Blade Fury is used against fire immunes which is the one weakness of the new D2R 2.4 assassin build. However, this assassin has a very strong ranged attack and a very strong melee attack. We're talking about 100, 000 damage kick and then the blade fury with amplified damage.
Attributes
Strength - 156
Dexterity - 117
Vitality - 535
Energy - 55
Skill Point Distributions
This is a dragon tail blade fury hybrid. So we start skilling this like we would a normal dragon tail assassin. We max tiger strike, max dragon tail, and then we have one point into dragon talon and dragon claw. We have so many skill points leftover and this is a level 95 assassin. We have 1 point into all of these skills for fade and mind blast. We have 1 point into death sentry and all of these other prerequisites. Then max blade fury which is the skill that throws the shuriken and blade shield. So every 1 second, the blade shield is going to essentially do several thousand damages to everything around.
Martial Arts: (40 Tiger Strike, 21 Dragon Talon, 21 Dragon Claw, 40 Dragon Tail)
Shadow Disciplines: (12 Burst of Speed, 12 Fade, 12 Claw Mastery, 12 Psychic Hammer, 12 Cloak of Shadows, 12 Mind Blast)
Traps: (12 Fire Blast, 12 Shock Web, 12 Charged Bolt Sentry, 12 Lightning Sentry, 11 Death Sentry, 12 Wake of Fire, 23 Blade Sentinel, 31 Blade Fury, 31 Blade Shield)
Gear And Equipment
The reason we use lacerator is that it's the best weapon for dragon tail assassin. And this weapon when the enemy has amplified damage which it's a 33 chance to cast. With amplified damage, this weapon does the exact same damage as death at next. It doesn't have the deadly strike but it's a perfect weapon for this D2R Patch 2.4 Assasin build, a great hybrid weapon. The negative fire resistance and the enhanced damage are wonderful. The enhanced damage works on blade fury and the kick.
We need high kick damage boots for the new D2R 2.4 PTR build. This build is using upped Gore Riders. The reason is that Blade Fury still benefits from crushing blow and deadly strike. So we want those mods. Dragon tail does not benefit from deadly strike or crushing blows. We're using crafted martial art gloves but the crushing blow not going to make or break them. So if you just get some rare ones hopefully with some strength and dexterity, it's still good.
We're using high lords for this new D2R 2.4 build. The reason is we need the increased attack speed and it gives us a deadly strike for the blade fury and plus 1 to all skills. So it's still a really solid D2R item for this Assasin build. Using a faster cast rate assassin circuit, it doesn't need to be godly, it doesn't need to have all these sockets. If you're okay with a lesser cast rate breakpoint, you could just use a shako, it doesn't matter.

New D2R 2.4 Assassin Build Tips & Recommendations
Pride increases the damage on this Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.4 assassin build a lot. However against fire-resistant mobs and fire immunes infinity really buffed our damage. So if it's an enemy that doesn't have fire resistance, they're kind of equal and then against someone who does have fire resistance. Infinity is better. So infinity is basically just the better weapon to use.
This D2R melee assassin build is super fun. If you accidentally target with, the blade fury it's going to basically stop attacking once your enemy is dead. Possessed monsters have crazy high defense and they take a lot less damage and they're just a bit harder to hit. All you need to do is try and speed this run up a little bit, build your charges up, teleport in then the mods are dead.
